Main filter of 5 micron or 10 micron performs differently in a huge way, as a 5 micron filter prevent most of debris from entering the printer, while a 10 micron one is more welcoming. The 10 micron filters are usually applied on printer with color pigment, which particles are larger than the black ink.

When you look for what micron is of our compatible main filter, please look at the label directly, the number is on there, take the 500-0047-130 Willett main filter for example, we can see 5.0 micron on the label. Some of you may baffled by the numbers printer on the the filter, which is actually our batch number, it has nothing to do with the filtering micron.

If you are not sure which filter should be bought, please feel free to tell us your printer model, ink type etc, we will supply the suitable filters accordingly.

When we purchase the original new ink, solvent or cleaning solution, we expect them to come with an intact original packing. However, the packing must be modified so that we can delivery the liqudis.

Take the Videojet V411-D ink as an example. For starter, we have to remove the “hazardous label” from the cartridge, and then remove the lammable liquid sign from the inner carton. At last, any sign or logo indicating it’s a flammable liquid also have to be scraped.

You may think why go such length to destroy the original packing, the liquids look better with their labels on. Here is why, based on previous liquid delivery experience, courier company may reject the liquids with flammable/hazardous signs on them, apart from that, such labels may cause trouble during customs clearance process. So for both of our own sake, the labels must be gone.

There are total 3 pumps in a Markem Imaje 9450C CIJ printer. As the structure of white pigment 9450C printer is different from the 9040 printer, instead of having one piece of pressure pump and vacuum pump, a 9450C CIJ printer got one piece of pressure pump and two pieces of transfer pump in it.

9450C is a Markem Imaje continuous inkjet printer model for white pigment, while 9450 is for black ink, so when you say 9450 white ink printer, I assume that you are talking about 9450C.

Now we know there is one piece of pressure pump and two pieces of transfer pump in a MI 9450C printer, when we order pumps next time, we know exactly what we are looking for.

My customer Dave asks if we have a refurbished 1550 inkcore for him, I think of the model for a while, and pretty sure we don’t have a Videojet 1550 printer here. So I reply sorry, no, because we don’t have the 1550 CIJ printer, ergo no refurbished 1550 inkcore. “But it’s the same as 1520, which you’ve sold me before”, says Dave. Really, I head to our workshop and have a look at the 1520 inkcore in stock, the case is indeed same as 1550, and as we have the compatible 1550 inkcore board, which means, we do have a 1550 refurbished inkcore.

Thanks to Dave’s extensive knowledge in Videojet continuous printers, I not only manage to sell an inkcore, but get to know more about it.

When customer ask for a refurbished 1710 inkcore, we usually recommend him/her to purchase a original one, despite the price is higher, we have old 1710 inkcore in stock, it’s not suitable to buy a refurbished inkcore for a white pigment printer.

The Videojet 1710 pritner applies highly adhesive white pigment with it, which means, the pigment is not only sticky to your printing material’s surface, but aslo sticky to the parts inside the inkcore. It’s challenging to clean and refurbished the inkcore, especially the valves and pumps, most often, it’s not worthy the effort. The refurbished parts go straight to blockage with a short period of time.

We could offer a 1710 refurbished inkcore, but we don’t want disappointment after you receiving the package. Let’s go with a brand new original one. 🙂

And by the way, compatible brand new pump with motor for Videojet 1710 is available though.

When our Videojet printer shows this, “New CUP has a different ink setting”, what should we do.

Don’t panic, follow below steps, it’s not difficult to sort it out.

1. Enter the advanced password
2. Select “Calibrate”
3. Select “Update Ink Core Parameters”, done.

Knowing your printer’s advance password is key, or else we can’t proceed to step 2 because there is no choice of “Update Ink Core Parameters” on monitor.

Problem solved. Easy right.

The two deflector plates below look alike, they are both for Alphjet, but if you look closely, you will find that they are not the same.

The deflector on left, MB-PL0887, is for newer Alphajet model AJD, while the one, MB-PC1908 on right is for older model AJC/AJE.
