The continous inkjet printer plugs look similar. When you order the plugs, despite pictures are sent, it’s still easy to cause misunderstanding between you and me. Here are some tips to help with plugs ordering when we don’t know the part number.

1. Tell me which printer model the plug is applied. Say you are looking for a plug for Domino A100, GP etc.
2. From what to what the cable connects. Like from main board to display, or communication board to alarm etc. A picture would be helpful in this case.
3. Show me the detail of the plug, like is it a male or female plug, how many holes or pins it has.

After receiving all these info, we are pretty confident to send the right cable with plug to you. 🙂

Does your continuous inkjet printer come with a stand? No? Never mind, we got the stands suitable for printers such as Linx, Markem Imaje, Videojet, Domino, Hitachi, Fastjet etc.

There are many alike-looking spare parts in continous inkjet printers, cables, plugs, filters with different micron etc. In this case, a picture worths thousand words, if we don’t have a part number to pin-point which spare part we are looking for.

Our customer Jack sent us some pictures of a cable last week. It’s for his Domino A series printer, which connects the RS232 board and a connector. Wish such description, we are still not quite sure which cable shall we send to Jack. Then Jack sent us pictures of the cable, which connects a RS232 at one end, and a 8-hole plug at the other end. Then we knew Jack was looking for a DB37738 Alarm Lamp Cable.

Sometimes it’s difficult to look for a spare part if we don’t know its part number, but with printer model, where the part applied and better picture of the part, we will manage to deliver the right printer parts to you.

When the Videojet printer shows no good phasing alarm, what should we do. Don’t worry, let’s have a look at the printhead engine module(399422 60um for standard black ink).

Usually it’s the printhead engine module goes faulty. We could have it washed, or replace a new one.

If the problem remains, please show us the alarm info, let’s proceed to the next step.

There are two different main filters compatible to Alphajet and Metronic CIJ printer, which look very similar to each other. In fact, if we don’t circle the extra outlet in green, hardly will anyone notice the difference until they start to install the filters.

Why we talk about these filters? Because we’ve mixed them up before. To avoid the confusion, I think why not list the two filters here and let’s get them straight once and for all.

Both main filters can be installed in the printer, the way to install them is different. So when you order a main filter for your Alphajet or Metronic CIJ printer, better have a look at your old filter and take a picture of it, then we will know which one you are looking for.

We don’t have much Alphajet nor Metronic here, so when you say I need an Alphajet main filter, we assume that you are asking for the commonly used one, which is the one on left. Then when you install the filter, you may find an outlet is missing. Now snice we know there are two different types of main filters, we know how to order the one we want.

Alternative Videojet 1280/1580 ink and make up are ready now. If you need the cartridge and chip(no need to pair with crack board) only, they are available too.

V4210/V7205 and V4211/V7206 ink and make up are most frequently asked, please feel free to drop us an inquiry if you need other type of ink and makeup.

When do I need to replace the filter kit? Depending on how often and how long you run your printer per week, we should replace a new set of filters, or some of the filters on regular basis. If your printer runs non-stop most of the time, we shall change a new filter kit every 2 to 3 months; If it runs from time to time, we could take a look at the condition of the filters and decide when to replace which filter.

Good news, we have newly be able to provide alternative Videojet 1580/1280 ink and makeup chips that can work on their own, no crack board needed anymore. V4210/V7205, V4211/V7206 chips work without any problem. Please feel free to let us know which ink and makeup model do you need, we will check if we have the chips.

As the new chips costs slightly higher, if your printer works 24/7 and consumes quite a lot liquids, we’d better install a crack board and pair with the old model alternative chip, which saves more in the long run.

However, if your printer only works from time to time, and consume little liquids, please purchase the new model chip, it costs a little higher, but can last for a while.

It’s difficult to tell the size of a compatible cap by looking at a picture. You may wonder, will this compatible cap fits my bottle? I can’t risk to deliver loads of non-useful caps to me, but it takes time to test the sample first and then arrange the second shipment. What a dilemma.
