When we receive the refurbished Videojet inkcore, sometime we don’t install it immediately, instead, we wait till the old inkcore runs out of time and then replace it. You may wonder, if I install the inkcore 3 months later, will you cover it if problems arise. The answer is, yes sure we will cover it. When you run across problems when you install the inkcore, please feel free to drop us some pictures or videos to illustrate the issue, we got your back bro.

In fact, here are some of the common questions that are asked when my clients install the inkcore. I will write down the solution to each problem briefly so that you can have a basic check when you run accross similar problem.

1. No ink is coming up. After months sitting still, the ink drop dries and may cause blocking in the inkcore, we could flush the tubes and valve and then check again. If you purchase an inkcore without pump, please check if the pump works well too. Most of issues are caused by dried ink drops.
2. My videojet printer shows open circuit. We need to check two spots for this issue. Firstly we take a look at the inkcore board, is the pin that bridges the inkcore board and the valve properly connected. If yes, then we need to check if the valve works fine. We need a multimeter to check the valve’s resistence value, if you can see the value of 72Ω, then the valve is fine and we need to continue to check the mother board. Here are a picture mapping where the valves lie.

Above are the two frequently asked questions, usually it just need a thorough cleaning then problem solved. If the problem is more complicated than that, please feel free to drop us visual material and we will try our best to fix it.

Look at below two pictures, the filters look the same right? Yes, actually 4 out of 5 are the same, except the small round mesh one with black O-ring.

The A40989 air filter kit is for Markem Imaje 9232 printer, which is with a metal EB26583 grid filter. Whilst the EB-PG0473 air filter kit is for Markem Imaje 9410 and 9450 printer, with a paper like EB-PL3223 grid filter.

If you have purchased a comaptible Domino pump head, you must be asked this question before, which type of pump head do you need, with long rotor or short rotor. This question applies to Linx 4900 pump head too.

There are two types of pump head for Linx 4900 CIJ printer, one with long rotor and short motor, the other with long motor and short rotor. Please kindly refer to below picture.

The most universal used 8900 ink and solvent is 1240/1505, 9 out of 10 compatible 8900 RFID we sell are for these two types. However, there are customers looking for 8900 ink and solvent RFID compatible to liquids other than 1240/1505. As our RFID program for each liquid is slightly different from each other, so we need to know which type of ink and solvent you are applying now, then we can send the correct RFID, or else the RFID won’t work on your printer.

Then comes a small problem, what if I have no idea what type of ink and solvent my 8900 currently applying now? Well, no worries, we can easily find out the type of ink and solvent by looking at your printer’s system information. Please kindly refer to the picture below. Under the “Configurations”, we can see “Ink/Solvent 1240/1505”, which means you are applying 1240 and 1505 now.

Can you make a special bean like hole on the ENM5629 pump disk this time? It took me great effort to revise the hole, it’s a delicate job, I have to do it myself. My client Kevin said to me when he is placing a new order. I wonder what a bean like hole is, for I have been selling ENM5629 pump head to him for a long long time, and the holes on the disk are of round shape.

As Kevin also orders a A40988 draining and rinsing kit, I reckon instead of ENM5629, a pump for Markem Imaje 9040 printer, he is actually looking for a pump for MI 9450. So I send a picure with both pump heads for 9040 and 9450 to him, and ask if he is maintenancing a 9450. It turns out my guess is correct.

Kevin is indeed maintenance a Markem Imaje 9450 printer. But he doesn’t know we have a pump head EB-PP0123 special for 9450 printer, so he ordered an ENM5629 and re-size the hole by himself, hoping it will fit in the 9450 printer.

A potential after-sales problem is prevented due to good communication. I delivered the EB-PP0123 9450 pump head to Kevin, which costs the same as ENM5629 pump head for 9040.

Compatible Hitachi spare parts are expensive, as some of you feedbacked. Why compatible main filter for Domino or Markem Imaje costs $10 each, while the one for Hitachi costs so much more.

For starter, the component of Hitachi ink is rather different from others, the raw material we use to produce the compatible filter is therefore more sophisticated, which leads to the higher cost.

Now we have modified the components of the raw material, to make a less durable but budget-saving comptible 451867 main filter. When I say less durable, I mean under normal working condition, if you clean & replace the filters every three to four months, the budget-saving filter will be your first choice. If you prefer a longer service period, then a better quality main filter could save you so much work.
