Last week a new client T ordered 10 pieces of compatible Linx Main Ink Filter FA73044 . I arranged the FA73044 main filters the other day and sent them by DHL. I have to say, DHL is quite fast, it took only three days for the parcel to reach T’s workshop. However, when T received it, he told me two of the main filters were missing, he received only 8 pieces.

This is tricky, because I packed exactly 10 pieces of filter inside the carton box, and wrapped it round with tape, it’s quite impossible for the filters to jump out of the package by themselves unless the parcel was opened by others. So I asked T if there was any sign of the parcel being opened, so we can trace the reason why there were two pieces of filters missing.

Finally, the mistery is revealed, the missing two compatible Linx main ink filters were in DHL warehouse. It’s a relieve that T got the complete 10 pieces filters back. And thank goodness that we always pack our parcels so tight that it shuts any possible excuses that the missing is due to poor packing. And of couse, sending products & package pictures to clients first, to build up mutual trust is the vital key in business.

In May we sold a refurbished Hitachi RX printer to a client, let’s call him/her A. We follow up the routine purchasing procedure, pictures of the printer were sent to A for confirmation first, then payment was done, had the refurbished printer tested, took pictures & video while the printer was running, and finally deliver.

When A received the printer, all of us take a deep breath, for we thought the printer arrived there safe & sound, what we need to do next is to wait for client A to test the printer on his side. If there is something going wrong(probably due to the bumping during transportation), we will conduct a online trouble shooting guidance, most of the problem can be solved by this way; if the printer works just well, it can’t be any better then.

However, there is always a twist, A told us the carton packing of the Hitachi is soaked, also the printer looks damp. We advised A not to turn on the printer, instead, try dry the printer inside out with hot air, after the printer is completely dried, turn it on see if it can run or not. The result is not what we are looking for, so we start the journey of insurance claim, which I will not share in here to bore you. All in all, robot as Hitachi CIJ printer, it’s not water proof.

I think of this not-so-smooth order, what I learn are:

1. It’s important to have the testing videos & pictures. They not only assure customers that the product is in good shape, but also play a vital role in insurance claim.
2. There always be solutions for a problem, which is not time, but join effort between supplier & customer. Instead of whining, yelling & complaining, we should calm down & take a look at the situation, list all the possible solutions to help lessen the loss.
3. Good quality products are the foundation of business & clear communication helps sales.

If you think this is too difficult, not have a clue to tell, then you are not alone, because from this angle, it’s hard to tell these inkjet printer pumps apart. However, let’s try another angle, you will notice the difference right away.

Pressure

1. continuous physical force exerted on or against an object by something in contact with it.

It got exert & against movement, applying this on the inkjet pump, we need an extra hole to let the air come & out.

Vacuum

noun

1.a space or container from which the air has been completely or partly removed.

It means, as long as the air is isolated, we just need to keep the balance, do not need to exert & against to fluctuate the pressure. With this in mind, we only need to create an isolated room in the MI vacuum pump.
